Oregon Business for Climate has joined a coalition of environmental justice, climate, and business organizations in formally intervening to defend Oregon’s Climate Protection Program (CPP) in the Oregon Court of Appeals.
The CPP is a cornerstone of Oregon’s climate strategy, providing regulatory certainty while driving investment in clean energy, supporting family-wage jobs, and reducing climate pollution from the state’s largest fossil fuel emitters. The lawsuit filed by oil and gas industry interests seeks to overturn the program despite its lawful reinstatement by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality.
